I am clinically vulnerable because of ongoing cancer treatment on a phase 1 immunotherapy drug trial. I was therefore fast tracked through to get my latest covid booster (my 5th) and everyone was exceptionally helpful, including keeping me well away from the crowds of people when I got to the waiting room. Everyone involved was excellent and I’m extremely grateful.

This visit was for vaccinations which is always done very well and efficiently. But if I need a doctor's appointment that is a whole different matter. Not everyone knows before 8am and I have never yet managed to book one.

Suggested improvements
For vaccinations -nothing, it's great For doctors - release appointments in the morning and the afternoon, enable people to book in advance and actually put some on the app as I have never seen any available there

Shaun was booked in to have his covid booster after receiving a letter only then to find out when he was near the front of the que that he in fact could receive the vacine because he was under the age of 18 .my son has severe learning difficulties pluse medical needs so how do you think this has made him feel .I am not at all happy as he passed 3 people in the que that could of told him that he could not have it due to his age plus the receptionist that booked him in for it after giving her his date of birth .

You could of identified that my son was o ly 15 and that booking him in on the 1st Oct wouldn't allow him to have the vacination

I gave up telephoning managed to get appointment via NHS app after 6 attempts

Telephone appointment systems needs to be sorted as I tried for 2 weeks with no joy
